Pre Production - Reflection week 5

Reflection week 5

This week was a stressful week for my partner and I. We had a deadline which was for Wednesday the 5th of October, as we had spent so much time on other pieces of the pre production work we had a few pieces to complete before this deadline. The pieces we had to complete were; production schedule, call sheets, shooting script, uploading flat plans of the digipak's and magazine adverts on the Blog, editing our focus group video and doing our treatment.

As this week was all about media for both my partner and I, we spent all of our extra time doing this work, also when we had the chance we picked up some more leaves for when it comes to actually making the final edit for both the magazine advert and digipak. 

When filming our focus group we wanted to do it individually as we didn't want other people to influence the answers that someone was giving. We found this worked well and had fun editing it, this was a little thing we felt that got us back into using the editing techniques. After this we created our final treatment for our music video, we took the feedback from our focus group and analysed it to decided if there were certain things we needed to change.

We both added some finishing touches to the flat plans for our magazine advert and digipak and then took several pictures and uploaded them to the blog.

After this we worked on our shooting script, this took us a while as we were debating on what shots we want to include, what variety of shots we wanted. As we were both working on it I feel that both my self and my partners ideas were put into the shooting script and work really well together. We then produced our production schedule for our whole project and then the call sheets for the first two filming days.


My partner and I have also used the rest of this week to collect some leaves as when we will be filming extra footage and taking pictures for the final edit of the digipak and magazine advert we will have extra leaves in case the colour of the leaves have changed. My partner also visited some locations around Essex to try and find one where we would like to film our narrative. Here is a picture from one of the locations. 
Next week - 
Next week my partner and I are going to start filming the narrative of our music video to try and keep on top of all the filming, we will also continue to visit places to find a perfect location in which we can film our performance part of the video.
